Day 1: Choice

Day 1: Choice

It’s the 15th of August 2024, ‘day 1’ of my 365 day project.

I have great plans for my life which never seem to get off the ground.  I feel like I’m spinning my wheels more often than not and need something to give me a little traction. I love projects, so I’m seeing the next 365 days of my life as a project. The goal of this project is to be more mindful in each moment as I make tiny changes and approach my life from a more enlightened angle by;

  • Choosing my health over my food addictions
  • Choosing to move my body even when I don’t feel like it, am tired or don’t see the point
  • Choosing to let go of all the excess
  • Choosing to further my quest for knowledge over binge-watching series after series
  • Choosing to nurture relationships I have with family and friends
  • Choosing to when to fast instead of eat because I know how much my body thrives on it
  • Choosing to go to bed before 11pm because I know how much better I feel if I do
  • Choosing to go within instead of wasting time on social media
  • Choosing to see the best in me instead of comparing myself to others
  • Choosing to create without needing a reason to do so
  • Choosing to process emotional pain instead of repressing it
  • Choosing to embrace and integrate my shadow side instead of fearing it
  • Choosing to focus on the best in people
  • Choosing to live life aligned with my deepest values
  • Choosing to be intentional about my words–words have power
  • Choosing to embrace the opportunities that feel right and saying no to others
  • Choosing to be kind and smile just because I can
  • Choosing to spend my money mindfully on things I really need
  • Choosing to nurture my passion projects
  • Choosing to declutter my home instead of hanging onto unloved, useless things
  • Choosing to declutter my mind through meditation and organisation
  • Choosing to celebrate the beauty of my soul in every moment
  • Choosing to retreat from the negativity of social media and be more selective
  • Choosing to do the work –The Great Work, even though I know it will take many lifetimes
  • Choosing to be selective about what I allow into my mind
  • Choosing to be selective about who I allow into my life
  • Choosing to take time every day to simply ‘be’ and not have to be doing
  • Choosing to learn about everything that sparks my interest
  • Choosing to see the signs, symbols and synchronicities in everyday life
  • Choosing to inspire and encourage others
  • Choosing to read for the pleasure of it
  • Choosing to let go of judgement
  • Choosing to live my love with a heart full of gratitude
  • Choosing to let go of old dreams that were never meant to be
  • Choosing to take responsibility for my actions and stop making excuses
  • Choosing forgiveness over the alternative
  • Choosing to see my biggest struggles as my greatest teachers

Afterall, the choices we make in each moment create our lives.
