After a long search, we have found the perfect car for us: The Suzuki Vitara 2024. It’s got everything we’re looking for:
- Easy for me to get in and out of (with assistance as always)
- Comfortable interior
- Simple design without space-age screens for everything
- The boot is high and wide enough for a wheelchair (Miquel says it’s easier to access than what we have now).
- The price is perfect – well within budget
- It has all the safety features needed (my concern has always been Miquel driving home from night shifts, falling asleep at the wheel). At least now, this car will automatically straighten, beep, or do whatever else it does.
- The right camshaft – no idea what that’s all about
- Suzuki will buy our car from us now
- 5 year guarantee
- It’s a ‘mild hybrid’— a little a more eco-friendly than conventional gasoline.
All sorted! I have signed and the car should be ready to drive home in the next 2 weeks.
Now, we are of course, feeling guilty about letting Ix go….
